At Crystal Park Pediatrics, we want to be your medical home.  That means that we will take care of all of your needs or refer you to someone who can.  In our clinic we do many procedures you may not know about.  We treat and remove many skin lesions, saving you visits and higher copays at the dermatologist's office: warts, molluscum, skin tags, abscesses, acne, foreign body removal, and excision of moles.  We do minor surgeries such as laceration repairs, ingrown toenail removal, removal of nail, ear piercing, and punch biopsies.  For injuries, we cast simple fractures, reduce nursemaid's elbows, reduce finger or tow dislocations, drain subungal hermatomas (purple nails after injury), and treat burns.  Your baby boy's circumcision can be done in the clinic if you prefer that to the hospital.  We do breathing treatments for asthma and teach you how to manage your child's asthma at home.  We do ADD evaluations and can help with other behavioral problems, such as, anxiety, depression, and anger management.  Call us and ask if we can help you before you try somewhere else.  We may be able to save you time, inconvenience, and money; and, your child will be in an environment they know (and love).

Also, I will try to save you the extra expenses of urgent care and emergency rooms during after hours.  I am always available to talk to you on the phone and invite you to call and discuss your child's needs.  Just call the answering service and they will connect us.

What Sets Us Apart

  1. We provide excellent asthma care. Urgent care visits include nebulizer treatments in the office to prevent the need for an ER visit. Patients are taught to monitor their disease with peak flow meters. Inhalers with spacers and nebulizers are encouraged. Extensive asthma education is done. We teach you to manage your child's asthma at home.

  2. We do hands-on developmental testing at well-child visits beginning in infancy. Multiple tests are used to completely assess your child's development at all ages. This is fun and very educational for parents as well.

  3. We encourage yearly physicals and sports physicals for our older patients. Many insurances have a zero co-pay on well-child visits. Our sports physicals are much more in-depth than those done in schools. They include hearing and vision testing, growth assessment, overall wellness assessment and an assessment of social wellness. Immunizations are updated and prescription refills provided as needed.
